BYRON - Residents on Monday night will decide, among other things, whether to amend a building ordinance that, if approved, would allow the construction of wind turbines in this northern Oxford County town.
The annual town meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Coos Canyon Schoolhouse.
The proposed amendment allows the construction of turbines up to 450 feet high. It also allows up to four years to complete construction of such turbines from the starting date, along with granting a provision for an extension.
